We are a group of Opera singers throughout New York City, seeking to make opera accessible to the general public by presenting engaging events of vocal music, including opera, art song, operetta and musical theater in New York's thriving subway stations.
In September of 2017, the Opera Collective dedicated a MUNY performance to the victims of Hurricane Harvey, donating all of the proceeds to the American Red Cross. In partnership with the OC, Apple Inc. matched our donation, and over $1400 were sent directly to help those who were affected. We are honored and incredibly grateful for the support of our audience in this venture and always.
Funds raised by Team for Kids support running-based fitness, goal-setting, and nutrition programs benefiting 267,000 students in under-served schools and communities across the US.
